3. System Requirements of The Electronic Periodic Table
The requirement of The Electronic Periodic Table is extremely basic so
that it can be run in a variety of machines. The requirements are as follows:
* An IBM or compatible, 80286 or better
* 640KB of memory
* VGA monitor and VGA card or better
* MS-DOS version 5.0 or better
* An 101-keys keyboard
If you want to use The Electronic Periodic Table to its maximum power,
the following is recommended:
* A hard drive with at least 500k of free space
* A Microsoft or compatible mouse
* A printer, Epson or compatible
* A fast computer, the faster the better
* A fast video card, the faster the better
* A disk caching software

4. Installing and Starting The Electronics Periodic Table
Installing The Chemistry Tutor is easy. First, you'll need a UNZIP
software, such as PKUNZIP. Then, simply type the following (assuming your
hard drive is C: and the software is in A:):
C:
CD\
PKUNZIP -D A:\PERIODIC.ZIP
Then push return. Follow all on-screen instructions (if any). When
you are done, remove all the disks from the disk drive and keep in a safe
place.
Starting The Electronics Periodic Table
Now that the software is installed in your hard drive, running the
software is really easy. To run Electronics Periodic Table, simply follow
the following steps:
To run The Electronic Periodic Table Database, simply type:

5 Brief Introduction
The Electronic Periodic Table Database is an electronic version of the
Periodic Table. This table is a detailed table with information such as
name of element, symbol of element, where the name came from, boiling point,
melting point, the number of valence electrons, the appearances, and some
properties of element. If required, it can print out a hard copy of the
information, allowing you to review the information for a research later.
The reason why I wrote this program is to make looking up the Periodic
Table more interesting and more quickly. All the information can be accessed
with a simple click of the mouse, or a couple of keys by the keyboard. Now,
instead of looking up the element in a big, thick encyclopedia, you can click
the mouse and all the information is available to you!
6 Getting around in The Electronic Periodic Table
The Electronic Periodic Table is written with simplicity in mind.
When you start up The Electronic Periodic Table, the first thing you see is a
periodic table on the screen. If you have a mouse, move the mouse to the
element you want to see and click the left button. If you do not have a
mouse, enter the periodic number of the element and the information available
is displayed.
After you see the information, you can click or move the mouse to
continue. If you do not have a mouse, press any key except P to continue.
If you want to print out a hard copy of the data, press P instead of any of
the previous commands. Please make sure the printer is ready at this point. If it is not, a message is displayed and you have to fix the problem. If you would rather cancel printing, press Esc when the message appears.
If you have a mouse but you want to use keyboard instead, just press
any key. Later, if you would like to use your mouse, enter the letter M in
the box and then you can use your mouse.
